Your Crafting Friends ARE Okay!

Well, here we are, several weeks under the stay-at-home order and my children have informed me that other than not going to school, our meetings for worship or shopping, nothing has really changed.  They said they sometimes forget that we're under a stay-at-home order.  In other words, on a normal day, we're just boring people.  I'm glad we were able to prepare them well for this type of thing and that they're not getting stressed out.  You're welcome, kids!

I know there are a lot of people out there, though, who feel like they are suffering from being cooped up and from a lack of social interaction.  You can see it in all the memes and videos documenting how they're trying to deal with the stay-at-home orders, how they're complying with "social distancing" when they have to go out, and the truly clever and funny things they do at home to avoid boredom.

There are some hilarious photos being posted on social media.  But, let me assure you that we crafters, quilters and knitters are better than OK!  We're having the time of our lives!  For those of us who have hobbies, we've probably never had so much time to work on them and we see this as a fabulous opportunity.  .  .

.  .  . to make these:

I'm making these for my daughter's car.  She's gonna' love them!  Heh heh.

The problem we have right now, though, is that once we use something up we really shouldn't be going out to get more supplies.  I guess that means, if this continues for any length of time, we'll have to "think outside the box."  I'm running low on batting.  Maybe I'll have to start stuffing my quilts with chicken feathers. 😉
