Rainbow Mountains Quilt

This little quilt came about simply because I like to play with color.  I also wanted to try out a black background.  I love it because the bright colors seem to jump out of the darkness.

I was originally going to back it with black, but instead chose to go a shade lighter with a new cut of fleece in charcoal gray.  It was quilted in straight lines with turquoise thread.

In this quilt you'll find materials cut from twenty-eight new fabrics, thirteen reclaimed shirts, four repurposed sheets, and an upcycled pair of pants.

Each triangle is about the size of my hand and is large enough to show each fabric's unique pattern.  All the fabrics compliment each other so nicely, but, of course, the colors of the rainbow always do.
